A small town. The capital of Ethiopia and the sit of  The ZAGUWE Dynasty form 1120 to 1270. Lalibela is very famous for its Rock-hewn churches which are today one of the World’s cultural heritage and given care by UNESCO.

Among the many kings who have reigned in Lalibela, the King by whose name the town is name is an important one. Otherwise, before this king, the town was known as ROHA, this old name is still used in Lalibela to name one of the best hotel in town ROHA HOTEL.
